Pawn Shop--you never know what is going to walk through the door.

The Lady walked into the shop
    She was worn and old.

    A little tiny thing but
    she was firery and bold.

    She dropped on the counter
    a sack with a bang.

I need to get rid of this gun!
It won't shoot worth a dang.

Left to her by her husband
    who died years before.

She could not load it or shoot it
She wanted it gone , that was for sure.

Something I can use to protect my self
    she bellowed and moaned.

    Something that I can shoot
    and call all my own.

    I opened the sack
    and to my surprise

    A Smith Wesson 659
    appeared before my eyes !

The out side was marred .
It had a scratch or two.

But the inside and the magazines
    were shinny and brand new.

Right away I new that the gun was un-shot!
probably never a round through it, but carried a lot.

Well the next hours went well
We showed her every gun in the store

    From small Beretta Autos to
    a Charter Bulldog .44

She settled on a Ruger Revolver
    It fit in her hand!

And the price of the trade
    Fit right into her plan.

Now she is as happy as she can be!!!

And of course the old 659 ! Name: 659Stainless 015.JPG

That is a nice story and pistol there! It also sounds like she got a good one as well since Ruger makes fine revolvers.
Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone.

Great poetic story and a great pistol. Had one yrs. ago and I'm sorry I let it get away. I still have a nice set of rubber combat grips laying around here somewhere. Send me a PM with your address and I'll forward them to you.

Love it! What a great poem. And you got to walk away with the gun. A good story for everybody.
Teach them the truth, and let them sort thru the cobwebs of liberalism that have infested their minds.
When the time comes that I don't want a new gun, call the undertaker!
When they come for your guns, give them the ammo first!
