New to me CS9

Just picked up a mint CS9 from a friend. I don't have or have access to a s&w catalog so I was wondering if anyone could date my gun based on the serial number.
Number is BDH0884
I'm also new to the forum So excuse my noobness if this is in the wrong area.

Welcome JRW, I am looking at the book and about as confused. If it were a revolver I'd say Feb.-Apr. 1989. SCSW indexes semi's as begining with TAA in Mar. 84 The Chief's Special 9mm intro'ing Aug. '98.

Maybe someone will straighten me out?

It's def not that old. I want to say he bought it in 05-06 brand new but I'm not sure. That's why I'm asking the "pros".
