    M&p .45

I just purchased a new .45 M&P and unless I am real snappy with putting the first round in the chamber it tends to hang up at times. This started after firing my first two boxes. So I took the gun apart and made sure that it was free from any grime. A little better, but i still have to be fast with getting that first round loaded. Is this normal?

i had the same problem you had the best advice i could give you when you load a magazine into the gun have the slide locked open then insert the magazine once inserted push down on the slide release dont release it untill the slide is closed take your finger off the slide release then your set it works everytime for me hope this helps john. ps: your gun being new has a tight locup after a few hundred rounds through it should break it in the service repair at s&w art acera told me this & it worked best of luck john
