    model 659

A friend of mine is selling a 659. I do not know a lot about this pistol and was looking for a general opinion from the forum. He does not know what to sell it for and suggested I make him an offer. any insight into this pistol would be great. thank you,
    Mat

Hard to say without knowing its condition.I wouldn't feel too bad for offering around $300.00.

I own the 669 which is a close cousin. Yours should be Stainless/Alloy frame like mine, but I think it has adjustable sights.
It's my carry pistol. I trust it every day, day in & day out. It's never malfunctioned. I've put more than 2500 rounds thru it and not one hiccup. I wish I could say that about all of my pistols.

$300 Good condition -$400 in pristine condition is about right. You can't go wrong with it.

The 659 is all stainless, both slide and receiver. It should have the adjustable rear sight with the protective ears. There is a nice one at my LGS for $499 but he would probably come down some. If it has spare magazines that would be worth more. Factory mags go for $30 each used. Good luck.
