    Model 681 357 magnum

I'm looking for the value and age of my Smith & Wesson model 681, 357 magnum Stainless steal with a four inch barrel

I have tried to attach a photo of my baby, but don't seem to know how to do this.

tried to copy and paste, just don't work, any Ideas? not real computer literate, but would like to share a photo of it with every one.

I have the original wood grips plus a set of finger grips from Hogue.
I'm not trying to sell her just share what she looks like

Here is what you need to do to post pics:

    viewtopic.php?f=5&t=100

Regarding your wheelgun, we can not give you a date without the serial number. You can X out the last couple of digits if you are worried about posting the serial. What dash model is it? 681-4, etc? This can be found when you open the cylinder and look in the crane area.

You got the hang of the photo posting.

As to the date, it looks like early 1993.

    wm.bbl,

I love the clean lines of the fixed sight L frames. I was fortunate to acquire a 4" nickle 581 a few years back, it's a rewarding shooter.
As pretty as your 681 is, it's really gonna blow you away when you put the wood "targets" on!

    Thanks,
    Mike

yes I do, take her out about once a month and run about 100 rounds through her, bring her back home and scrub her down and place her back in the safe.

Try to get out once a week and take two to three guns with me , shoot them all

I truly enjoy sitting at home listening to classical music, nursing a bourbon on the rocks and cleaning them all up once a week, those that I shoot

Scotch works well too! For cleaning the cleaner that is!
