Reporting you right away to the S&W police. For violating some unknown statues.?

That gun might revive my interest in 9 mm. Been reading and watching Jerry Miculek on Internet. The man has a reason for every little thing he does. That gun, with 9mm and porting likely is a nice shooter.

But, his Godlike status, after saying the 500 was "all the fun he wanted" is slightly in decline.

    interesting, thanks..

not sure I "get" it though - ported 9mm? must be a competition angle to it..

I don't know much about the different types of competitive events.

The Ti cylinder, long heavy barrel, and porting makes it sound like this gun is optimized for rapid DA shooting.

That's something Jerry M knows a bit about.

Kinda cool, but I'm not sure why. I don't see the point unless maybe it's designed for one of the competition disciplines? If a guy didn't have to worry about power factors, I could see where it'd be very fast although a little chunky.

I believe it is a straight up competition piece. I have little to no interest in it, but competition shooters are probably drooling over it.

Yeah, I think it's designed for one of those shooting sports.

I'm not going to buy one. But... this time of year I start getting antsy for the SHOT show and seeing all the new stuff so this caught my attention.

Can't wait for SHOT Show 2014!!!!

Well, that one ought to fill a non-existent niche. I like the idea of a 9mm revolver that could shoot cheaper surplus ammo. With modern powder it could be loaded to near .357 power & a shorter cylinder would make the gun shorter & more concealable but this one has the bigger frame. The ported barrel would tame muzzle whip on a short barrel but that one hasn't got that either... seems to me that one won't do anything a .38 doesn't already do. Yawn.
