    How old are these guns?

I wonder if someone could help find out how old my 38 spc ctg ser.#C41076x and 38 special mod.#15-2 ser.#k68201x. these were given to me from my mother-in-law.
my father inlaw was on the police dept. here and I beleive he carried the 15-2 most of his 25 years on the force. Both guns are in good shape showing holster wear on them.how
