Hi everyone,
My dad just purchased this 32 Long CTG from an estate sale in FL and we are trying to obtain some information on it. We would like to know manufacture date, anything specific about the gun itself and if there are parts / accesories for it. Pictures are attached.
The information I have on the gun is as follows:I apologize if I put this in the wrong age group Forum. Not sure how old this gun is so I placed it here.
- Number on Butt: 566564
- Number Inside Cylinder: 21752 with an 8 underneath
Thanks.

Additional info,,, 536685 was 1946, trigger guard screw went away in 1953 along with the leaf main spring and strain screw. I can not tell from the photos if any of this applies,,,

Ammo is a bit scarse but still a very cool old gun.
Nice wheelgun you've got there. I hope you've found a warm anddry spot for it in your collection.
Even better, I've got an open spot where I can store it for you. I'll even make you a deal. I won't charge for the space or the care I give to it. I've got a whole bunch of S&W family members that'll keep it in very good company.
Seriously for a moment....... You've got a really nice collectable there. It'll fit well in just about everybody's collections here.
Take good care of it and you'll be able to shoot it for generations to come. I sure would like to have one like it in my collection.
Your dad did well by getting it in the sale and adding it to his collection.

1 old, ammo availability could well be a regional thing, but stores in East Tennessee have about as much 32 on the shelves as they do 38 spl . . .
Nice thing about the old wheelies is that the ones that will handle the 32 L or 32 NP (New Police) will also handle the 32 short or 32 S & W as well as the 32 ACP . . .
Thanks to everyone for the quick feedback. My dad is not emotionally attached to this gun and mentioned selling - I will try and get an early inheritance. It certainly will not be leaving the family. I am just now starting to "collect" - but my S&W guns are newer models and not worthy of being considered a true collection....so far - 686, 640, 6906.
Thanks again. Have always had great help from the team here on S&W Forums!
