    John,

I had read of rumor of this release. I reckon S&W continues to get "hip" to the popularity of bygone models. Perhaps this will inspire those who are "new" to the "old" ways help in re-establishing the popularity of those things which are not polymer/tactical.

I've got a 4" 581-3 blue, and a 4" 686 (no-dash) stainless. They can hold their own with anything S&W ever produced. It's a great platform for the .357 ctg. I especially like the old "K" frame square butt grip. Fits perfect.

    John,

I take this as a good sign that the pendulum of good sense has began to swing back, in the correct direction!

I noticed in the pix, that it does have the IL. I wonder if it has MIM hammer and trigger. I'm just wondering how much it will cost. I know one thing. If I were to buy one........it would be a shooter! I'm not the collecter type. Bob

wino, You're not going to see another new gun from S&W without the lock......that's why most of us prefer to buy used. I am tempted........but, I have seen a lot of guns with the lock up for sale in the classified. So, it's your choice! Bob
