    S & W Model 10-5 Revolver 38 S&W Special CTG

    I have a mod 10-5 38 revolver 6 shot serial number C857084 Found on the Butt of the Grip. I am in need of Factory service but S & W does not recognize the serial number as being valid. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you handle this.

    It is a valid serial number. I would call back, maybe more than once, until you get someone who knows what they are talking about and I'd bet you can get it serviced.

    I would as well...someone there seems to be confused.
