Actually the serial number is 79764. Anyone have any info? Thanks
I have a 32 long CTG with a 6 in barrel that is nickel plated. Serial # on butt of the gun is 70764. It's in 75% condition i'd say. Can anyone tell me when this gun was made and the value? Thanks

Photo's would help a great deal.
The begining of the workday is annoying time view a request you can not act on for many hours, sorry. Surely your revolver has not lost 25% of its finish? This where photos make all the difference. I assume you have a swing out cylinder. I take your word the serial is on the butt, not the inside grip, there is no step in the backstrap and obvious defects other than the finish as described, and it is not Spanish.
If its a 1903 Model S&W in .32 Long and a family heirloom, its priceless, preserve, protect and pass it on. If we are talking pure economics go to Gunbroker.com look up sales in the past ninety days, sales only not dreams. I imagine you will fing the results dissapointing. Nickel seems to suffer more in the collector area and few if any people are carrying .32 Long these days.
If you don't a date answer in the next 7-8 hours I will see what I can do.
Ok. After going over the gun i'm guessing its more in the 90% finish range. A friend has the gun and is looking to sell it. I'm thinking of buying it just for the age it appears to be. I'll try to get the gun and put some pics up. Yes it is a swing out cylinder and the serial number i found was on the butt of the gun. I didnt take the handle off to check there. The grips are small and rounded pearl grips also. I do thank you for the response on the limited info i provided you.
I'll try to get some pics up soon. Thanks
Funny, about what you describe is the only .32 Hand Ejector that has sold on GB in the past 90 days for $229. The only other one was much younger and in the box/like new for $625. For the most part no one is bidding on these guns.
Off-the-cuff I'd have ventured $125-$175 after you jacked it to 90%. You may (or not) want to bear in mind that buyer will have $50-$60 more dollars costs in an on-line auction. Factoring friendship etc.
Ok thanks. I'll still try to get some pics up on it tomorrow. If i get it , I'll be picking it up cheap and keeping it. Really re-sale value isn't important. I was just curious. I cant seem to find many of the 32's with a 6in barrel, that was the reason for thinking it might carry more value. Checking other sources, the gun seems to be in the 1906 area in age. Thanks for your help.
i would really like to see pics!
