    M&P Target 1905 Change 3 (1905 ?) rebuild 12-26/star

As some of you are aware I am no man's techno geek. However I did manage to break a dry spell. I suspect the old girl may be wearing a third coat of paint but I am prepared to forgive her that. Immediately on getting her home tossed a bruised apple off the back deck; vaporized it with twelve wadcutters at 75 or so feet. (Also: neatly stippled in cursive across the logo is Lieut. W. H. Reed (over) Chicago Police)

I'm drooling because I want an early Hand Ejector Target Model in 32-20 and/or .38 Special.

    Best Regards,

    Waidman,

A very nice piece of history, apparently factory refurbished when my Father was about 9 months old (!).

    Great revolver!
Gotta love the early refinishing S&W did and marking them with a date. It was clearly a shooter for a shooter.

Mick, Mike and Doc, I goofed on the title then couldn't edit it. Should read (1915?) I believe since there is bluing on top of the hammer it got a third coat also look at the logo, its a bit filled and I doubt S&W did that. It has a Marble's ivory colored dot front sight. Mick you are correct it was once and will again be a shooter for a shooter.

The serial falls in the change 3 range. Lt. Reed must have been a shooter to send it back in 11 years. I'll try to print some paper tomorrow. The apple was pure plinking fun!
