Vltor makes some pretty neat products. I have their MOD4 charging handle and love it!

Swapping your sport upper with an aftermarket one is definitely one way to go. Just keep in mind you'll probably want a gunsmith to do your barrel swap (just for safety's sake unless your experienced in that field).

Just curious but if you're going to spend the extra 200 bones on a new upper, why not just buy a fully built S&W and save the hassle of component swaps? The plus side there is IF you do have an issue, you'll be fully covered under warranty for life. Just another way to go IMO.

ohh at the time i was tight for money.. Now that i am not i was just now going to slowly upgrade it to how i would want it. For example after i swap the upper i will still have spend under the 1200 range witch would next one up. Only thing i would be missing is the chrome line barrel ( witch does not make it any better ) and the lower does not have replaceable guard. Correct me if i am wrong with my statement

You're right. It really doesn't matter a ton. The chrome lining just helps for longevity. As far as the replaceable guard, just looked at that. It looks like they gave the user a slight advantage by already incorporating a rounded guard. All in all, not a bad bang for the buck. I just think that S&W should have stuck with their top of the line products and piece parted their quality stuff.
