    Great Rifle = Great Groups

Went out to the range the other day to zero the MOE. Even though the rear peep was way off, decent groups were the end result once we got it dialed in. 25 yards, 10 rounds, iron sights.

I think modern manufacturing has pretty much eliminated the inaccurate guns. Quality control is still only as good as the human factor but for the most part, todays rifles are more accurate than most of the people can shoot them. All of them still have their own likes and dislikes and querks, (they are female) but for the most part, shoot more accuratly than their counterpart of 50 years ago.
I would not trade my push feed, plastic stocked Winchester Model 70 for a 'Pre-64' any day.

Exactly right! 20 or so years ago I made decent money as a side job building custom rifles by putting in the careful hand fitting that is duplicated w/ todays better machining methods. Do I long for the old days? Nope, I can spend a lot more time shooting instead of leaning over a bench.

Don't feel bad, Evan....I went to the S&W web site, and no mention of what "M.O.E." stands for.....Some "tacti-cool" acronym, I'm sure.

MOE is short for Magpul Original Equipment. I picked up a MOE or Magpul M&P15 because of the comfort of the furniture. You can check it out on S&W's website or just google it. All in all, Magpul has some pretty nifty AR15 parts. Most of which are lightweight and practical. If you get the opportunity, check out the B.A.D. lever. I installed it the other day and couldn't be happier.

Thank you for clearing that up.
I never would have even asked how to adjust the Curly and Larry.
Us old codgers just aren't 'in to' a bunch of this new stuff. I'm still amazed I can take pictures with a cellular telephone and then send the picture to another one. Next thing you know, I'll be able to 'surf the internet' with one.
