Hello all i will get right to the point.
I'm buying this.
Product: Model M&P15 Sport™
How can I add something like this Gander Mountain® > SureFire M900A Vertical Foregrip WeaponLight -- Throw-lever Mount - Hunting > Shooting Gear : Firearms, Ammunition, Black Powder, Firearm Accessories
I read that i cant change the handguard to something that has a bottom rail. Please better inform me. Thanks!

D,
Welcome to a fine forum.
Check into Yankee Hill Machine to see if they sell a 2 piece, railed fore-grip to fit your sport. You're gonna have to get that rifle railed to be able to easily go all-mall-ninja with accessories and such.
That or look at another rifle that comes already configured (better idea) for attaching "stuff".

Thanks for that info. I checked out the Yankee Hill site and seen this Triple Mount [YHM-639K] - $99.00 : YHM, Yankee Hill Machine Co., Inc. | Makers of High Quality Firearms, Accessories & Sound Suppressors, Makers of High Quality Firearms, Accessories & Sound Suppressors it looks like it would work what do you think?
Or wait can the for-grip come off the S&W M15 Sport if so the 2 piece they have would be best.
D,
I put the 2 piece on my Bushmaster, took 5 minutes. If your sport is built like a conventional AR, it's a piece of cake. Contact YHM and ask if there will be any problems, see what they suggest.

mmitch,
Nice gun! Ya good idea I will call on lunch tomorrow they should no. But if anyone has the gun Im looking at buying and already knows if you can take the forward grip off please let me no any maybe post a pic of the bolts where you dissemble it at.
Thanks all!
D,
The plastic/composite ring, at the rear of the foregrip is spring-loaded. I just evenly pulled mine to the rear, popped the old fore-end pieces off and slid (slided?) the YHM pieces on. You can buy a tool, but if you have "manly" hand and grip strength, no tool be needed. Be careful not to dick-up your gas tube.
The tri-mount, to which you linked, will force you to mount that pricey Surefire grip-light combo too far forward, it won't be very adjustable, location-wise, at all. The referenced tri-rail will severely limit your options.

If the only thing you want to add is the foregrip/light/laser you can just add a forearm rail to the bottom of the existing forearm (I bought mine @ Sportsmans Warehouse for under $10). The same unit will also mount to the top of the forearm if you need more picatinny rail space. You still have to remove the forearm to bolt it together but it's not a big job, I managed it in about 5 minutes. Surefire is good quality equipment but that setup is nearly the price of the rifle...
"He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment & buy one" Jesus - Luke 22:36
Ya I no its pricey. I'm not buying that exact one but i do want to mount one on my new gun. I found a nice one with 300 lumens and a green lazer for 200$ Anyways thanks all for the input I will wait and check out the gun when its in my home.![]()
