So are you guy's confirming that these are 5-44? I thought they "Looked Like" 5-44 because my thread gauge only went down to 42TPI.
Great info here I have a McMasters 2 miles from my office. All you do is buy online and what you need is at "Will Call" within an hour. Terrific for any machinist.
I'm the owner of an Architectural Aluminum fabricating company but I personally make numerous shop fixtures, pro-type attachment hardware etc. on an old (1950) 9" South Bend lathe and a 1966 Bridgeport mill. Not running you down if you have a modern Chinese lathe or mill but I'm glad I found these two jewels on ebay a few years ago.
I bought a bench model "Grizzly" lathe and Mill about 10-12 years ago. I still use the bench sized mill in my basement workshop, the hi-lo gear change stuck, thankfully, in Hi Speed range within 6 months of buying it and the most used plastic levers eventually broke leaving just the machine screw that was inside. Great application for a "Mini-Vise grip" whick actually gives better leverage anyhow LOL!!
