Bill Davis' S&W 10-5 cylinder stops rotating smoothly on one(same) chamber while firing double action match's. It stops half way through travel and requires more trigger pressure before firing. By then I have lost my sight alignment. I've used this firearm for several years w/o a hitch till now. Any helpful comments are appreciated.
frxg, I am experiencing a harder rotation on my M-17, a .22 that I shoot alot!
Undoubterdly it is a build up of powder and lead gunk in the ejector rod and cylinder. I intend to take it apart, to see what's up, and give it a good cleaning. I also give it a couple drops of gun oil, to keep it operating smoothly. Keep a diagram handy, when you do this....so you can get it back together!!! Bob
