Hello to all members.. as a new member this past year.. I want to Thank.. Gear Checker (Greg) for all the time he spends.. greeting new members, such as myself.. the time that he spends, answering our questions and most of all for just being on this forum and contributing as much as he does.
You all know him well. But, what some of you may not know. He goes the full route. He has helped me in many
ways, concerning my antique S&W model 1 1/2. Not, on the forum, but afterwards though emails. For this is what
Greg does.. Where? .. He finds the time and effort, i don't know. This is Greg!
So this is my Tribute to one of your outstanding members.. on this forum.. Which, i know you have many of..
For, all their efforts and advice. For, all their concerns and greatly appreciated information.. I wish to Thank, this
member you have.. He is an asset to this community... Gear Checker.. Thanks, for being here with us.

Everything said about Gregory is true. I know he will be along to try to throw a wet blanket over this fire. Let's not let him.![]()

U. S. debt explained...Let's say, you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood......and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceiling.
What do you think you should do?
Raise the ceiling or pump out the crap?
Gregory (GearChecker) is, shall we say, "Of the Finest Sort".....I concur, Sir.

I decline to sing along. It would only spoil the moment. But, I agree with the sentiment.
Damn,
You guys are making me tear up. I'm choking on a piece of humble pie right about now.
I'm not doing anything different then what the rest of you are doing here as well.
I just lend a hand when asked, and answer a question or two.
The tone of the forum is friendly, non-condemning and willing to help all that come here looking for assistance or answers.
Do you guys remember the time when the newbie chimed in with the loaded gun and he was terrified that something might go terribly wrong?
Two members jumped in immediately, and walked him thru what was necessary to make the gun safe and secure. No badgering, no name calling, nothing but a sincere desire to help somebody at the very moment he needed it the most. It was incredibly tense watching the episode thru to it's resolve. I know the members that were here that day (including me) were holding our breath like a 911 operator waiting for the cops to arrive.
All the other members on the forum that day stayed out of the situation, and let the two that were involved directly, do what they do best. It ended with true relief, and a safe and happy new member.
This is what we do here. It's not usually quite as intense, but we jump in whenever somebody needs the help.
The only reason I'm here is because of all the support I get from all of you. Without you guys and gals, I'd never have found this place and I would have never learned what I have to share with others.
Thanks for all the kind words. I offer the same right back to all of you.
Many of you I call my friend, and I count myself thankful to be a part of this forum with you.
With the highest regard,
Gregory

Too bad Gregory wasn't running for POTUS, he would make this Country great again.

Gregory is the same in the flesh as he is on the forum! I'm looking forward to getting together again - soon. We have some reloading to do....
