Notifications when a member was quoted?

This is the only site I am an active member of. It seems to be the best of most others without any of the bad.
Therefore, please accept this as only a request.

I was wondering if ADMIN could activate a feature in the software that will let another member know when they have been quoted by someone?

I saw this feature on a site called "Debate Politics" and it was rather nice. Shame the site was a complete train wreck.

Anyway, their setup looks a lot like this one and I think you may also have the same software.
It was nice to know when someone quoted me so I could go back and give them a polite reply, answer their question, or answer their comment.

    Thank you,
    Dave

    Hey Dave,

When/if another Forum Member responds to one of your threads, you will see it "bumps" to the top of the "Active Topics" page.

    Hope this helps.....

(there may be "settings" in your "control panel"..................I'd need a 12 year old kid............to decipher them) LOL

    Later, Mark

PS, if you post pics of fine S&W's.............there will be lots of "responses"............ROTFLMAO!

Thanks, Mark, but that does not let me know if they QUOTED anything I said, and are asking me a question, or something like that..

I liked being able to go down the list of WHO QUOTED YOU, and give relies, also quoting them, so they would also know their question was answered, or replied to.

That was the beauty of knowing if someone quoted me.

WHO QUOTED YOU appeared right under the LIKES notifications.

    It was a nice feature.

I know of no such feature. I will leave your question for another Admin to answer!

If you have a smart phone, install Tapatalk. Two of its options are to email a notification when someone posts in a subscribed thread or quotes your post. I have that feature turned off because it annoys me like spam. I use the Quick Links/Subscribed Threads feature to keep up with posts in threads I have posted to. I can see if someone quotes me then. You don't have to use Tapatalk to read the forums if you prefer a desktop/laptop. But, it is a way to get the notifications you want.

Glock Talk as such a feature that all I have to do is look upper right hand corner of menu to see if I've been quoted or if a thread I posted in has new posts. It's a nice feature.

On this forum and others, you can go to your profile and check on your latest posts. More time consuming but it works.

I'd have to have a look for the plugin to see would it work with the site. First can I get a bit of input form the community if they think this is a good idea or not. If people like it, I can bring it to the mods and see what they think.
