    The Pause That Refreshes

The other day I found myself on a dirt road in Nowhereville, AZ.......it was a warm and sunny day, I was thirsty, so I pulled over to grab a Pepsi outa the cooler.

While I was enjoying the privacy and havin "The Pause That Refreshes", that dang Pepsi can started heckling me and was chiding me sayin things that I won't repeat here...............so, I shot it........killed it dead too.........six shots and it was pretty well shreaded.

"There, TAKE THAT you son of a Pepsi can.........!"

I had my 3" snake with me and it did a wonderful job dispatching that rude Pepsi can, but unfortunately I didn't like the grips.......they were just too small and "crampy" feeling to my old mit.

Now, there are some folks who suggest that I should get a factory letter for the 3" Python that I now caretake.......but me, Ha, I'm an old geezer that's more interested in how a piece shoots, rather than how it left the factory.........I'd much rather spend the money on making the gun better suit my shooting style and look prettier in the process.

And, here's what we came up with IM005510Python3NewGrips.jpg IM005425Colt3inPython.JPG

Heck, a piece of paper (factory letter) ain't gonna make it shoot no better...................

    Regards All,

    Geezer

I suppose those are black/silver grips ........... We both need to improve our photography skills .....

But then that would take away from monies to spend on firearms .............. a quandry .

Who makes those grips Geezer ?

I ordered some for my 642 , but supposed to take 6 wks or so dang it .

    Regards ,
    George

Yeah George, my photographic skills suck............I guess it's fitting that I still use this ancient HP 315......it just won't do close-ups.

I got Barbara a new camera for Christmas, maybe I should try to get her to take pictures for me.......chuckle

George, I don't know who made those grips.....they're unmarked and came to me without any factory packaging. They feel really good, but I'm not real satisfied with the fit (it's almost good).

They're not quite the same "black and silver" that I've seen on others......they are black and tanish/brownish/silverish/gray. A subtle difference with the run of the mill varieties.

    Best Regards,

    Geezer

I just thought of something that fries my eggs: People who post pictures of decent looking grips then don't know who made them..........

could not have said it better myself
nice lookin' wood, I never found a set of finger groove stocks that fit just right and those look pretty 'agressive' in the groove department. I have a belt sander and don't know when to stop

I believe it was 1981 (K Prefix)...........and it would have been the brown (wood looking) box.

Okay, Ok............chuckle..........I'll buy myself a better camera. You're right about my photo skills, I may be so lousy that a better camera won't help......chuckle.

    Best Regards Amigo,
