While not a 44 Magnum, I very successfully used a 180 or 200 grain 357 Maximum for metal silhouette shooting with a pistol. It appeared to hit as hard as a 44 Mag or other similar pistols. I think that your load will work well on these beasts.
I also think a heavier bullet will do a better job on hogs. I would use H110 over unique any day in the 44 Magnum too.

As you know Hogs have an armor plate around their important parts. I would rather shoot a heavy bullet that will penetrate the armor instead of a light fast bullet. Nosler makes a 240gr JHP bullet that will work as will a Hornady XTP. I also think a heavy hard cast SWC bullet will work very well. W296/H110 is a good choice although Lil'Gun will give you more velocity with less pressure. (aside from all the rumors of Lil'Gun eroding forcing cones)
Like a lot of posts above I would go with a heavier bullet.

Look in the hunting and fishing forum for pic's dead hog's
I can tell you that I would rather have a good cast bullet for the hogs than a lighter hollowpoint. I lost a nice 6 point whitetail about 4 years ago that I drilled with my .41 Magnum. I got him on the way by me and he was only about 15 yards, he went down and got back up, went about 25 yards and stood broadside. I fired again and you cold see him shudder and almost go down, then I fired again and he walked, never ran away. I started to wait around hoping he would bleed out but another hunter came in on the sounds of the shot. I found alot of blood where he had started to lay down. But it had been rainy and it looked like he me might have laid on some wet leaves. Never will know for sure. I was using Winchester hollowpoints. From now on its cast bullets in all of my handguns. I would rather make two holes than one. For the .44 a good cast bullet around 250 grains is the way to go.
