Walgreens fires employee for defending himself

"No people in the world ever did achieve their freedom by goody-goody talk and moral suasion: it being immutable law that all revolutions that will succeed must being in blood, whatever may answer afterward."

A perfect example of why I carry. (Retired LEO). I can't run anymore and I'm too old to fight. It's my own personal insurance policy, and I know how to press the "collect" button. I think the guy did the right thing. At lease he went home to his loved ones breathing and in one piece. Just my 2 cents worth.

We are not allowed to take a gun into the office, our VP of sales was chastised for doing so. I leave mine on the bike, and carry a knife.

I personally would never carry a gun into my workplace without talking to my boss first. While I think not being able to carry into the office is wrong, it is their business and I am obligated to follow their rules. Or look for another place to work.

As a side note, I have open carried into Walgreen's here in Phoenix on multiple occasions without any issues.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

Too bad he didn't kill the BG, instead of just scaring him. Bob
