The reaction by LEO's was proper since no one dares to take a chance now days. The high school student who brought a green nerf gun to school is old enough to know better & should be kicked out permanently to learn responsibility for his actions. It's not a case of a kid who accidently forgot a pocket knife but a full-blown bozo.

Kid pushing the limits. There's always one or two in the bunch. Unfortunately, the current atmosphere is their playground.

Yeah, Irv. They should suspend him just like the 5 YO girl who told her friend standing in line to board the bus she was going to shoot her with her pink Hello Kitty bubble gun and the two 6 YO boys who made fist guns and pointed at each other. I think the little girl was suspended or 10 days for making "terroristic threats" which was later dropped to 2 days for "threatening harm to another student." (What does she know about terrorism or threatening harm?) The teacher sure terrified her and reduced her to tears in front of her classmates. The two little boys were just playing like they do at home. The liberals have the sheeple so afraid, they duck and cover if someone pops their bubble gum.

Guy, the high school kid is enough older than the 5 & 6 year-olds to be aware he's acting like an idiot. He's not a little kid, very soon he'll be an adult.

Yeah, but a NERF gun? Gimme a break. Where is common sense in all this hysteria?

Sense simply is no longer common.

It was a kid with a Nerf gun. Good grief.

At least it seems that the boy was not suspended (?) and the weapon of mass destruction was returned.

It seems to me that some of these events can and should be passed off as naive kids being kids but there seems to be a growing number of older kids and young adults that do it out of a lack of respect for the common rules of society. I think many don't get the rules from parents simply because the parents weren't taught either. I think we're becoming a nation of breeders rather than parents.
