I would expect these hypocrites to NOT want guns around them since that is what causes shooting(according to them).

This is what happens if you can't hide from your poor decisions. These failed journalism wanna-bees miscalculated, badly. Their type doesn't do well in a fair fight. They have to leak information and anonomysly make accusations to avoid confrontations that they know will render them weak and irrelevant. The people associated with this dispicable action will live in a special hell manufactured by their own paranoia. They'll be suspicious of everybody for a long time. Or how about the old trick, when driving past the residence, of turning off the ignition, pumping the gas pedal twice, turning the ignition back on and having the car backfire. Had a friend as a teenager who looooooooved doing that...until he blew his muffler off with a few too many pedal pumps.
Guns don't kill people. Ridiculous liberal laws kill people by leaving them unarmed.
