What would this world devolve into without dogs? My Dobermans are often my best friends. But I do love my wife and kids an awful lot!

It's a dog. No different than any other animal. Faced with no food and not sure when or if they would be found, considering killing and eating the dog was a rational idea. I don't remember he name but one of the early explorers seeking to reach the North Pole expected to kill and eat the dogs as their return trip would require fewer dogs since they would be transporting less weight, etc.

    bruce ,

I figured the rational man would surface eventually . There are indeed two sides to a coin .

Me , I'll go to the grave afore I sacrifice my buddy .

    U. S. debt explained...Let's say, you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood......and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceiling.
What do you think you should do?
Raise the ceiling or pump out the crap?

I took my golden retriever for a long walk a few months ago, after 45 minutes or so, all of a sudden I was starving. I thought about throwing her on the BBQ, but lucky for her I found some ham and cheese in the fridge.

So, they get stranded in the forest while picking FOOD items and starve for 6 days and consider eating their dog and only one of the fools has the guts to try eating the FOOD they were out there picking up off the ground, turning it down because it didn't taste good to him. I always seem to miss the special insights that makes sense of these lifes' choices. If I were their dog, I'd run away and take a chance on a friendly LEO! Anyway!
