    Just purchased a model 10 with a BHS number and trying to obtain some information on it such as age ect.

    Any questions you may have would be better posted in the appropriate forum rather than here. For instance, if you have a question about your model 10, you would do better posting it in the S&W Revolvers 1945 to Present forum. You'll get a lot more action that way.
