    Anklebiters

My immediate family consists of my sister and my niece, and my roommate, ex BIL. My roomie and my sister may be on the verge of reconciliation. That is if the Good Lord is willing and the creek doesn't rise!
My sister and niece have two little ankle biters that usually take residence in my lap when they are around me.
Yesterday afternoon, at my sister's house, they jumped up in my lap and wouldn't leave. My niece told them it was time to go outside and they ignored her. They never do that and always heed the call to go outside when prompted.
My niece approached them in my lap, one growled, then both. My niece and sister were both flabbergasted and astonished. I told them to get down and go outside which they promptly did. I teased my niece of being mean to "my dogs" and she got just a bit annoyed at me.
When the dogs came back in they reoccupied my lap immediately.
Those ankle biters are great house protectors, yapping at the littlest thing. They are generally very quiet when in my lap, or nestled up on my sister's couch when I am not there. I've never been much on lap dogs but these two pot lickers sure make me grin!

Not sure if any of ours would ever bite (don't want to find out). But they bark when someone strange. One is 40 lb lap dog and other is 70 lb lap dog. Other 3 are content on floor or at my feet. They definitely own me. Also have me well trained.

We have three five pound Chihuahua sisters, they are each a year apart from the same parents. Great little companions/alarms.

Someone posted this previously, apologies that I can't remember who to give the credit too... still a funny pic.

My wife had a pair of ankle biters when we met. During our dating phase, I had to win these little buggers over with dog treat bribes... it worked and also backfired on me, because now, whenever I land on the couch, those two pot-lickers are Johnny-on-the-spot, up in my face, tails wagging frantically... where's the treat... where's the treat... come on, give it up.
