    Indiana heads up!!!!!!!!!

I check the local sites, g-broker, and armslist many times daily. Last night a guy in Indiana, didn't say where, posted he had a gun for sale on Armslist. Guy shows up with a friend. They proceed to TAKE the gun, and also his wallet. Be careful.

Condition White is not a good condition to do much of anything with except to maybe sleep in a very secure enviornment.

Agreed, Ron.....Ya gotta watch EVERYBODY these days, especially in a situation like that.

Years ago, when I helped my Mother have a Yard Sale, I brought a few items over to get rid of, and the Wife and I provided security for her, and watched the money. Had a couple of "shady characters" show up, but they knew better than to steal anything, as the Wife and I watched them like a hawk. They may have even noticed that 1911 on my hip, too.

One of them tried to distract me with idle banter, while the other was looking at me out of the corner of his eye, inching closer and closer to the cash box on one of the tables, and acting nervous.....I never met his eyes, just watched his buddy, pointed at him to alert the Wife, and as she watched him, I then turned my FULL attention to the guy that was jabbering....when our eyes met, he quickly disengaged, walked over to his buddy and whispered something, and they left in a hurry.....I walked down the driveway behind them, wrote down their license plate number as they scrambled to get into their $400 car, and waved and smiled at them as they sped away.

Well not saying it couldn't happen to me but -

I always pick the meeting place , always public w decent people traffic .

I always show up early and park facing out , w good site line .

    I always pack heavy .

I never take more money than needed . Empty wallet of all non-essentials .

I've never liked armslist . Have heard of several scams on it .

I've only done 3 FTF weapon meets . All were smooth .

OTOH , a few of my local craigslist FTF meets were not comfortable but turned out ok .

CAUTION is the word of the day .

    +1 with GeorgP.
To date the only FTF's I've done were with people I already knew.
I've sold a few things on Craig's List, and they were all done at the closest parking slot available to the entrance or exit of the store in a Lowe's or Home Depot parking lot.
    Better safe than sorry.

Sad thing is that for decades shooters were the most reliable, stand up people ANYWHERE. Lately the creeps have creeped in.

When the economy turns bad, all sorts of vermin emerge from the shadows. House break-ins, home invasions, street shootings, hold-ups, convience store robvberies......they all become more common, as the lower income people try to keep their head above water. Many of these people are druggies......with an expensive habit.

It's all a sign of the times, where everybody (that commit crimes) feels that 'they're entitled' to have the things....that they can't afford! Me.....I'd like a new truck, as the repair costs spiral upwards! Trouble is........I pay for it!!!!! Bob

    +1 Bob.
My wife's friend thinks we're crazy and paranoid for carrying, I say better safe than sorry. Things are definitely a little crazy right now, and we figure we're doing our best to keep honest people honest.

Never go alone. Do it in a public place, if it has cameras facing the parking lot even better.
