    1000th Post Karma Giveaway (a little late!).....:D

In carrying on the "Finest Traditions" here at the Smith & Wesson Forums, and to show some small appreciation to my fellow members for their kindness, their generosity in sharing their experiences and knowledge, and the fellowship we all enjoy here, in celebrating my 1000th post here (a little late!), I submit the following for you all to have a chance at winning, and hopefully it's something that EVERYONE can use:

A Gil Hibben "Alaskan Pro Guide Hunter" fixed-blade knife, complete with a quality leather sheath and the factory box. It is factory-new, unused and untouched for 10 years. This knife was given to me by my Ex-LEO, Gun Shop-owning buddy, when he was reducing his stock of items that didn't sell. He's given me a LOT of neat items over the years (I probably put all his kids through college with the money I spent there in the last 25 years!), and this one has been sitting in the bottom of my dresser drawer for better than 10 years; it's time it found a home with somebody that can use and appreciate it.

The handle material appears to be either DymondWood or Black Micarta, very nicely executed:

The blade has some very nice electro-etching on it, with a gut-hook for field-dressing large game:

The Fit, Finish and Polish Job on this knife (even though it was made in Taiwan to Hibben's specs) has always appealed to me, it is first-rate:

The Spine of the blade is nearly 1/4" thick, VERY durable:

Just post a reply to this thread stating "I'm In!", "Gimme!", or something similar, and I will hold a drawing by 10 P.M. on February 24th (next Friday), to notify the winner! If possible, please try to get your post in before 8 P.M. next Friday, to give me time to print out the names, and cut-up the slips of paper for the drawing.

Once I have P.M.'d the winner, and received his or her mailing address, I will ship it out to them, postage paid and insured, NO CHARGE TO THEM WHATSOEVER....

    WHAT A DEAL!!!

Thanks again to ALL of you here at the Smith & Wesson Forums, so LET THE CONTEST BEGIN!!!

    Doc ,

It's hard for me not to crack on you somehow or way ......................

But alas , if I must act the adult , I must .

    Very nice gesture .

I ain't in , cause I really would just stick it in a drawer for another 10 years I expect . It's right pretty .

So I hope it finds a nice home and gets well used .

    Best regards ,
    George
