Okay, I need some smart forum science guys to help me!

A week or so back I decided to buy a portable impulse sprinkler, one that isn't driven in by a stake, but is on a normal metal sprinkler base, very nice. Last week I ran it for roughly 30 minutes in the morning and afternoon, nothing extensive. Yesterday though, I noticed when I turn on the water, it runs, but it now runs counter clockwise… WHAT? Voodoo, crazy talk, a Democrat trick, what the heck is going on? Why would my impulse sprinkler simply change 'sprinkling' direction? Rocky is particularly interested as he wants to attack it, unlike the passive sprinkler options he's always ignored, he needs to know how to plan his latest attack; left or right, HELP?

The globe has swapped poles again. You are now in the Southern hemisphere. Better check the swirl of your toilet.

It rotates the direction you went during the last rain dance.

Did you try turning it on and off several times to see if the rotation remains constant......?

When doing so, let it de-pressurize completely before turning it back on.

Not sure what model you have but mine has a lever that sets limits on arc it feeds, back and forth. However, if I lift that lever so it goes in continuous circle then the direction is somewhat random when I start it up. It has to do with the way the water hits the the ratchet vanes and is random on full circle. If the Arc limiters are used then the lever is attached to a diverter that will change the direction the water hits the vanes to direct the arc. Without that lever, the baffle is free to switch on start-up to any direction randomly.Rocky will just be perplexed and hope he does not develop dual personality from this (never sure if he is a right or left dog). That is the way mine works.

Direction of rain dance rotation is totally irrelevant. Directional influence is determined by which foot the rain dance began with.
