    Crickett rifle range report

Well, I went and got my kids a Crickett. Its blued on blue/gray laminate. Had it out today, and all I can say is wow! Very accurate kid sized rifle, right out of the box, my 1st 3 shots fired standing, connected with pins at 50 yards using the open sights. Rear peep sight with a front blade, like the rest of the gun pretty simple. Way too small for me of course, the trigger actually isn't bad at all, the sights easily picked up with the eye. After the pins I managed to shoot a 3 shot group at 50 yards, off a sandbag, that looked about 1 3/4 inches.
Now, all I have to do is figure out how to teach a kid and keep it fun, even when her first shots miss.
So just a note-if you have a reason to get one of these and have been wondering if they were worth it, all I can say is a confident yes. As Siskel and Ebert would have said, 2 thumbs up.

    Re: Crickett rifle range report

My daughter has a pink one. I started her at under 25yds working on the swinging steel plates. It wasn't long before she was ringing them. Have worked her out to 50yds now. She doesn't care for paper targets unless they are the shoot-n-see, but even then only a few shots, and its back to the swingers.

Pink Crickett for my grandaughter. She loves shooting ballons from about 20 yds out. She hits them almost faster than I can blow them up. Lots of fun!

I've been looking at getting one of those for the grandson's to plink with. Thanks for the report. Looks like Cabela's has a scoped version on sale this week...
