    Savage .22 Rifle...

Hi everyone. I'm having a hard time finding out anything about this rifle. It's a Savage Revelation, Model 160, series "A" semi-auto. 15 round tube-fed. Can anyone here help?? Thanks!

Since you haven't gotten an answer I'll try. It is a post WW2 rifle made by Savage Stevens in Westfield MA for Western Auto Stores (Revelation). Is there a Serial Number? If not it has to be pre 1968. I do not know how to find the date but by the 1970s the Western Auto Stores around here were gone. I would guess the 1950's Maybe others can add something.

As I recall that design of .22 were quite good if kept clean. We sold a number of them used and I do not recall any complaints. We did not have any quams about buying or selling them (1980-2005)

There was a recall on them in 2000 because the saftey would not work some times model 135 and 160 revelations. They would inspect them and adfust them and retrun them no charge.

    Re: Savage .22 Rifle...

I was bored did some surfing and didnt find much. I found a site that cross references most guns made by savage stevens and mossburg and high standard that were sold by various companies with tons of cross references but they only list the revaltion 160 with out the A on it. One was made by mosseburg the other savage. I looked at the savage and it said it was a model 80. I tried finding a model 80 couldnt. But seen a querie where it made mention it was a pump so that was a dead end.
Maybe they can tell you when you call or you could go into a savege stevens forum where the collectors could give you some imformation.I even went to numericks where you can look at schematics for parts and had no luck except to find they have a barrel for it for sale.
