    "Legends over the Colorado" airshow

My son and I went to the "Legends over the Colorado" airshow last weekend. The highlight was "FIFI" the only remaining flying B-29 bomber. It was really cool to see it flying and then to crawl around and in it. We also took a ride on the Grumman TBM "Avenger" torpedo bomber, used in the Pacific during WWII.

Here is the Avenger getting ready to spool up:

And this I thought was a cool shot the way my camera distorted the prop, as he was idling. Also note the wings are being folded in (for aircraft carrier storage). I was thinking that is one button you don't want to push while in flight!

I was behind the pilot facing forward, and my son was in the ball turret facing backwards for our ride. Here is a shot he took out the back, he was also trying to fire the rear mounted .50, but to no avail. Down below is Katherine's landing on Lake Mohave, this shot looking south.

The big event was the B-29, here are a couple shots. What an impressive airplane!

    Great pictures!

Here is a site that is pretty fun to check out:

I like the HD360 where you can view a variety of cockpits of aircraft including the SR-71 and the Gemini 7 space capsule. The Enola Gay view has both cockpit and bombardier views.
    U. S. debt explained...Let's say, you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood......and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceiling.
What do you think you should do?
Raise the ceiling or pump out the crap?
