    Yuma area shooting this weekend!

Not exactly where I had hoped to shoot, but I found out for myself (thought my dad was just getting old and had it wrong) that our old haunts for shooting, driving, fishing, hunting are all now under Indian or Government control (not sure which is more oppressive), nope, that was a dead end, so we implemented the much feared “Plan B”! Actually, it wasn’t bad, Adair park north east of Yuma proper, an outdoor range that I haven’t visited in 30+ years, but it was an okay deal, good for Yuma! Here are some pictures, but my photo taking got too much of my daughter-in-law in view and we have security reasons to not share faces, sorry for that, she’s quite becoming (lucky for you in the case of my ugly mug!). RdrBill was in Glendale raiding the local shows and shops, while the shops in Yuma are closed on Sundays….Yep, I was hornswaggled once again it seems, a tip of the hat to you Bill, well played sir! I’ll make up for it in Wickenburg next weekend!

Hey, the young buck in the blue shirt is shooting his first gun, courtesy of my late father. It’s not a great piece, a Charter Arms 38 Snub-nose, a ‘knock off’ of a S&W Model 36, but a good little shooter. I bought it 20 years ago for my wife and I can actually make hay with it. Anyway, he had the best of days with getting to shoot the first time, hang with the “Blackclouds” and now tells me he already wants to go back! It is addictive isn’t it? We had a GREAT weekend (except the son-in-law that spent his time in the hotel bath room, Saturday’s breakfast on the road got him), visiting with our Mexican family, fabulous food, many laughs and tears as this was the first time for us all together after my dad decided to strap on wings. There will be many more visits, down there and up here in Glendale, life is good!

BC2, that looks liek a pretty nice shooting hole you have there.
The "Public" shooting spots up here look like a casing dump, where every shooter in the entire state goes out to, so they can throw away all their used up shotgun casings. Some days it looks like you could walk the full width of the "Range" and never get your shoes dirty, except for picking up a little gunpowder residue off the casings left behind by the tactikool kiddies.
So I end up going to the indoor range up here so I have a decent place to shoot. It's good to see you're sharing some range time with the youngsters bringing them into the fold.
What a great day of fun it must have been.

    Regards,
    Gregory

The average response time for 911 is 20 min., the average response time for .357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

Good for you folks.............I'm glad you had a good time (even though it was a "Plan B" event).

    Thanks for sharing,
