Shep,
The videos are wonderful. You'll be able to keep those memories forever that way. And you get to share them with thousands. Very nice.

I uploaded some video clips of the scale model steam traction engine my dad built a few years ago.
If anyone is interested, find them at the links below.

My firearms are an investment on my life.
When the time comes that I don't want a new gun, call the undertaker!
The average response time for 911 is 20 min., the average response time for .357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

Your father built that tractor! Most Impressive! My wife and I enjoy going to exhibits of antique farming equipment. Locally there is a annual "Mule Days" program where one can see plowing done with, you guessed it, mules as well as horses. Some of the antique tractors are gorgeous. Thank you for this post.
Here is a clip of the little beast pulling a plow several years ago. Being run by Tom & Kim Nichols.

That unit is really talking!
Those are all great videos, Shep!
U. S. debt explained...Let's say, you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood......and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceiling.
What do you think you should do?
Raise the ceiling or pump out the crap?
Now that is cool! What does it burn for fuel? Coal?
"He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment & buy one" Jesus - Luke 22:36
Anything that will burn. Wood, coal, you name it. If you want to work that hard (or are crazy enough) you can even fire them with straw.
Wood is great for just playing around. Coal or a mixture of wood and coal will make your life a lot easier (less stoking of the firebox) if you have the little beast working hard.
Dad is 86 now, and wears out pretty quick these days. So he doesn`t fire it up all that often. When he wants to fire it up I take the chainsaw out to the local tree dump and cut up a batch of wood. Stuff small enough that it gets passed over for firewood works just fine in a small engine like this one.
It doesn`t take all that much wood to keep it fired if he is just running it around in the yard. Scrap lumber works great if you are careful about where you dump the ashes. (nails)
Take a look at the link below. That monster 40/140 Reeves just about has to have coal to fire. An engine that big (if you are working it hard) would eat wood just about as fast as you could stuff it in the firebox. Larger engines than that one were made, but I believe there are none larger than this that still exist today.

I'd love to have one to plow the garden, grade the road, etc down @ the ranch... it's a lot more cool than my old diesel Kubota!

The old beasts have plenty of power to do just about anything you want.
Take a look at the link below. Keep in mind that this is just a medium size engine.
Not sure what kind of engine. Probably a British design engine by the look of it with that oversize flywheel.
