First I'd have to ask him to buy me a gun safe since I don't have one.....then.....Bill, I'll have to get back to you. Got some googling (I guess for him, it would be binging) to do.
If Bill Gates called you and told you to go out and buy the one gun that you never thought you would ever own or afford and send him the bill what would you choose?
For me I would have to go with a 100% New .357 Registered Magnum with all the paperwork, documentation, and tools as shipped from the Factory.
What would yours be? (Can be any gun, Handgun, Revolver, Long Gun, Shotgun, Etc) Only restriction; it has to fit in your gun-safe.
Lets get a list together just in case Bill calls.![]()

It would be my Great Grandpa Henry's pistol. Probably not worth 50 bucks, but priceless to me.
I would have to have a registered magnum to.I would ask him if it were ok if I got a well worn shooter registered magnum also.Seeing how you can buy a new pickup for the price of some of the shotguns the rich buy. A couple registered magnums would be a bargain.
Of course since I have no use or interest in a 40,000 dollar shot gun. I may be better off to go for the shot gun and sell it later to get my registered magnums and a few other smith and wessons I like.
With no exception it would be an M1918 BAR, full auto 100% unmodified.

My firearms are an investment on my life.
When the time comes that I don't want a new gun, call the undertaker!
The average response time for 911 is 20 min., the average response time for .357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

A Registered Magnum would be nice but I would want a 'shooter' and post war guns with the shorter hammer throw suit me better.
A BAR would also be nice but the OP made no mention of cartridges being included in the deal and I think I would soon be flat broke feeding the thing. BTW Gregory, my dad always told the story of dumping his Garand as quick as he could and picking up a BAR during his time in Korea. He rode around in a half-track so the weight was not a problem and the BAR made short work of 'problems'.
The best shotgun I have Barbara gave to me for Christmas so I'm covered there, just like the 1911 and 6" 28-3, accurate rifle, got it covered (and then some).
A 4" N frame .357 with a serial in the S 127000 to S 133000 range maybe

The first fine BAR that came along. This was an important weapon
-or-
The first Registered Magnum in original kit and excellent condition. Because of its historical interest.
-or-
A Fox .410 double barrel shotgun, pre Savage era. With just a bit of bird engraving on it.
Whichever showed up first.
Because without America, there is no free world.
O.K. I'll bite. If I would have any firearm I wanted... one and only one... it'd be a "Gas Trap" Garand in .276 Peterson.
