RD,
Here's my take. Both are relatively new products and still, sorta, "teething". Would you consider a Bersa 380?
Mike
I am thinking about getting a 380 for concealed carry in the Summertime. Wintertime in Michigan I have no problem carrying my M&P 40c in a Blackhawk IWB. In the Summertime I would like to carry something a little smaller. My question is which one would you consider a better buy? So far I have been looking at either the Ruger LCP and the S&W BG 380. Any pros or Cons to either?

What don't you like about the 40c? Too wide? I am in between a full size and compact to carry.
Check 'em out, excellent value, never a problem with mine, fed everything I ever loaded in it. Prefer ball for penetration. Good used one's for around 2 bills, mags about 35 dollars. New, around $300.00 with 2 mags.

I'm no expert!
Bersa makes a pretty nice .380. I'm not a fan of the newer thunder .380's. I do like the older 383a's they have a steel frame with no lock. Same basic pistol as the thunder.380 The 383's are finished much better than the newer thunder models. Only draw back is they are a little on the heavy side compared to the newer thunder .380's I have the 383a and it has never missed a beat. Eats any .380 ammo without issues.
Bersa offers a lot of bang for the buck

I’m not fifty miles from home thus have no status is an expert. If I were fifty miles from home and no one knew me then I’d put on my expert hat. The only 380-Auto I have experience with is the PPK Walther. The PPK slide can act like a milling machine on the web of your hand and it ran best with FMJ.
The smallest center fire semiautomatic pistol I now have is a Glock G19 and I’ll bet our summers are hotter than yours.![]()

I chose the KelTec P3AT, with a Crimson Trace Laserguard. It is a homely pistol, and at least in my case, required a little bit of trimming of flashing, but I have yet to experience a malfunction with it, it is quite thin, the laser is easily activated by gripping the pistol to fire and the pistol is easy to grip securely. It came with a Mec Gar magazine also.
