    Pea shooters

    Here goes,
I'm a little bored right now ,no football, no nascar, I have already washed Mrs critters car and mine so after reading 1911's post I started thinking about my little addiction, 22's. I also have a confession, after moving to AZ. and deciding that if I was going to roam the desert on foot and on 4x4 trips I needed protection so I purchased a S&W 9mm figuring that would get the job done for any desert critters, now the confession as it started out only as protection I soon found I enjoyed shooting, not just the shooting but the mechanics of the weapons etc.. then I found this forum and you enablers, sorry I ment fellow forum members !! well in the beginning I had my Tim The Tool Man Taylor
attitude that bigger was better and started adding assorted calibers ( I still need to add some larger calibers) along the way I went out shooting with my son in law who brought his M&P-22 he kind of went off by himself taking only his M&P -22 I heard him blasting away and remember saying to my self in a inflated snooty kind of way "little pea shooter what's he gonna do with that little thing " then he came back after a hour with a big ole grin on his face and said well I just shot the crap out of this thing and I'm only out about 20 bucks!! I looked down at all my spent brass and said to myself (not so snooty or inflated ) damn about $100.00 !! I said let me try that thing, that was it I was hooked
too much fun and budget friendly, game on!! I started looking for 22's and I found them, pawn shop orphans calling my name (need thicker tin foil caps to keep those voices out) gun shop orphans calling my name, getting the picture ?? I like 22's !!! I'm not much on the AR style stuff or the plastic stuff , I kind of like blue steel and wood, so any way here are the pea shooters, lets see yours !!!! a Ruger 10/22 with Boyds thumb hole stock, a Remington 597,
a Browning Buckmark UDX PRO slab side, a Browning Buckmark camper( the Buckmark camper is Mrs critters) a S&W kit gun, a H&R sportsman 999, a High Standard Double Nine, and a Henry, so Ladies & Gents lets see them 22s

    Hi critter:

    Here's a .22 Magnum (WMR), K Frame, Model 48, 4" Name: S&Wmodel48_01.jpg
Views: 384
Size: 3.18 MB click to enlarge

The ammo is not quite as cost effective to plink with as a .22 LR counterpart, but it's still far from being expensive and packs a bit more wallop (especially with 50 Grain Federal cartridges).

    Best Regards,

    Geeze

OK, you guys got me thinking. Just how many .22's are parked in the vault? Looks like I need to do an inventory. Numbers to follow....
