Never bugged me EXNJCOP56, always willing to help. Now that you have the SCSW you will find it had to put down.

Some of the short runs/limited runs were special orders from distributors and the serial number. This 686 + is much the same...no information listed and if you search online using Yahoo search, Google etc you won't find much if any information.

What do you think you should do?
Raise the ceiling or pump out the crap?

I gotta introduce you people to the "drool alert". If you gonna post pictures like Doc just did with that absolutely beautiful revolver, you first advise the readers that they will be subjected to conditions where they might drool on their keyboards and then have to spend time wiping the keyboard dry. Just typing in the words drool alert will suffice. Now excuse me while I go get a towel to wipe up this drool off my keyboard........

Wendy, Thats a nice 686! What dash number is that? I have the same, a 686+ with a 3 inch barrel, but mine unfortunatley is a -6 and has the lock.

    Howdy, Seabeesbob!

That's a Safariland COMP II Speedloader......I like 'em better than the HKS-type, just push it in, and it dumps (rather, SHOOTS) the cartridges into the cylinder.

    COMP-2 Revolver Speedloader Ruger GP100 S&W 581 681 586 686 38 Special 357 Mag

    Here's their COMP I speedloader, a 5-shot for J-Frames, that's even smaller:

COMP-1 Revolver Speedloader Charter Arms S&W 5-Shot 38 Special Polymer Black

Very interesting David, I'm just the opposite (prefer the HKS). I can see where the Safariland might be quicker (just push the button to release), but the HKS seems to lock onto the cartridges better............chuckle........."to each his own"
