Generall, I carry a 10mm Glock 29. One of my few minor considerations on the gun is the plastic guide rod with captive recoil springs. It has never missed beat and it's not broke, so naturally, I want to fix it!
I ordered a Wolff steel rod/spring kit. It has an easy to understand diagram and looks to be about a 2 minute change-out, BUT, there are three (3) springs in the package. The diagram shows the big spring fits the front, larger diameter rod, the second spring obviously fits the aft portion of the 2 piece, telesoping guide rod. The third spring, half the diameter, about the same length of the aft spring fits... what?
Any insight as to what I may be missing, as there is no reference in the provided diagram for this third spring.
Thank-You,
Mike
David,
I'm a tired old man, tonight, but the third spring just might fit inside the aft, more narrow rod (?). The kit fits the 29 and two other (45 ACP) models and the "xtree" may be for one of those..
I'll let you know!
Thank-You,
Mike
Mystery solved. After speaking with a helpful gentleman at Wolff today, I learned the extra spring is a replacement for the striker. It is recommended that a new striker spring be used after every 2500-3500 rounds.

Had all the springs replaced in my 2nd Generation "21" 3 years ago....And a Trigger job called a "Ghost" Only after 8,000 rounds or so.....
I've been carrying this gun everyday, and don't want to change things around until I can go directly to the range to test fire it. Been a long time since I had to use any unarmed skills and a compact Glock makes a "poor" club, don't-cha know!
I' ll report on the changes once I get some order in my life restored.
Thanks guys,
Mike
