CCI Blazer in 22lr is good ammo. While I do not own a 22a, it shoots very well out of my Ruger 22/45 MkIII. I think it is every bit as good as the more expensive CCI Mini-Mags.
I tried several brands and experienced jams before settling on CCI Blazer ammo - I have not had any problems with it in my S&W 22a

I prefer brass cases because I reload, but have never had any problems what-so-ever with the CCI "Blazer" aluminum case pistol ammo. Over the years I've used it in .45 Colt, .45 ACP, .44 Special, .357 Mag., and 9mm without any problems at all. In fact, the .44 Special and .45 Colt are loaded with Gold Dot hollow points and perform beautifully. If you don't reload, you'll save some $$ on practice ammo to buy the "NR" (non-reloadable) CCI Blazer ammo.
I've had problems with my extractors pulling the heads right off the warm casings with aluminum. I've neve had it happen with brass casings. I've also had a few jams where the aluminum will compress druing the feed cycle on one of my semi-auto pistols.
I will partially retract my statement about never using aluminum. Since I made that post one of my sellers had CCI aluminum Blazer ammo in 357 at $9.99 for a box of 50. I bought one box and ran it thru my Model 66. I didn't have any failures or ejection issues when dumping the fired cylinder. I went back and bought 10 more boxes the following Monday. I didn't find it any different to shoot either.

Gregory
