As long as WALMART has plenty of .22 ammo, and .38spl. +P, I'm a happy camper! Things got a little tight for a while, but they have plenty now......but at an substancial increase in price! I'm shooting less, now, to keep costs down. Bob

    John,
You do understand that you'll need to be standing at the front door of that store the minute they open. You'll need to stay there till they open the shipment and you have what you need in hand!
If he told you a shipment's coming, imagine how many others he's told about it too.
You can be sure that some schmoe from the north side of Hartford will be there to buy every last box, because he hasn't been able to get it either, and he needs to restock his dwindling supply.

    Stand firm and be patient.
Teach them the truth, and let them sort thru the cobwebs of liberalism that have infested their minds.
When the time comes that I don't want a new gun, call the undertaker!
When they come for your guns, give them the ammo first!

I've noticed that. The local Wal-Marts have rescinded their six box limit. I loaded up on .22 and .40 S&W.

Re: finally ammo shortage easing up

The shortages according to my pastors brothers was caused by 2 main issues.
My pastor's 2 brothers work at the CCI plant down in Lewiston, and he asked them what was up with the shortages.
CCI couldn't get enough brass to make the primers. It seems all the raw brass was going to China (Surprise, remember the concrete shortages a few years back)
We can assume that brass for casings was in short supply for the same reason.
And there was something to do with the qty's of primers that the feds were limiting CCI to building. (Connected to the China brass deals? Or prepping for Obama's weapons and ammo control?)

I'm sure we'll never hear the real truth behind this one.

This is what I was told. I can't verify it, but it sure sound normal for the way things are getting run around the country.

I checked out the Wal-Mart near where I work. Today, they had .45 ACP, .32 ACP and, of all things, .380 ACP. I grabbed some .45 ACP and stopped off at the Ft. Bliss Rod & Gun on the way home. Shot a box through my SIG P-220.

    That was fun.
