Colt states in their owners manual that you can use +p's in this alloy airweight, but i will just use it for carry, I wont put more than a few +p's through it, especially since parts are going to be scarce.

That is the reasoning we use with Colt revolvers here.
    U. S. debt explained...Let's say, you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood......and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceiling.
What do you think you should do?
Raise the ceiling or pump out the crap?

My only Air lite is a S&W Model 340 M&P. when I first got it I shot a couple cylinders fo 357 mags thru it. My trigger finger was bruised for the trigger guard slamming against my finger from the recoil. Not too much fun. I'm thinking of sticking with some 38 +P when I carry it.

The average response time for 911 is 20 min., the average response time for .357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

In my Airweights I carry either the Remington offering of the FBI Load or the Speer 135gr Gold Dot Short Barrel .38 Special +P ammo.

You can buy some Buffalo Bore stuff that's a little hotter, but I think these will "get the job done" if called upon. The powder doesn't flash really bad in a J-frame snubbie, and it's accurate in all of mine.

+1. There is a new "hot ammo of the day" out constantly. Silvertips, wadcutters, FBI load, all do the job. I buy/use wadcutters because they are cheap and then I can afford to shoot more.
