    Nelson .22 conversion

Received this from Larry Nelson (Nelson Custom) last week.
This unit was designed by Bob Marvel and is an updated version of his old #1 unit; slide lock on last round, dry fire permissible.
The machining/fabrication is done by Mcmillan-barrel/stockmaker.
I put an Adco dot scope (1.5 minute dot) and took it to the range.
I don't shoot a lot of .22 handguns, probably spoiled by my original Marvel unit and Pardini Fiocchi-both extremely accurate.
The Nelson unit was no slouch; 5 shot groups (benchrested) @ 25 yds. were no greater than 3/4", with two groups @ 3/8"-this with middle of the road Aguila standard velocty ammo.
I'm thinking that wiht a 2X pistol scope and good ammo this unit should shoot under 3/4" @ 50 yds.

Very sharp looking unit and good shooting as well. I had not heard of this option, but it is obviously a winner.
